BIBLE SCHOOL METHODS OF TEACHING
This year Bible School celebrated its 17th anniversary of ministry. Based on to its own 17 years of experience as well as on the Slavic University of Washington education program, Bible School realized the importance of working with three segments of student life:
1. Education
The school administration uses very strict criteria when selecting teachers for lectures. Teachers are not supposed to teach doctrines and practices that are considered false by our church. We invite only godly instructors, those whom we know as knowledgeable and honest teachers that love God and our church. We expect teachers to show students how to love our church and to serve God in it.
2. Practice in real ministries
The school provides students with spiritual practical work in our church. Students are offered opportunities to lead Bible School services on Thursdays, and lead Bible study groups on Fridays. This way graduates becomes leaders and ministers with an experience of working with people in our Slavic culture and capable of working in departments of our own church.
3. Relationship with God
The most important for every one of us is not even biblical education, skills or practice in working with people, but staying away from bad deeds and knowing God personally. Bible School schedules prayers, evenings of worship, camps, retreats and other events where young people turn to God from their sins, receiving the Holy Spirit, making decisions to become members of our church, and continuing walking with God. Those who experience God’s presence in our church and whose faith in God is stronger than the trust in preachers spreading false doctrines around us do not have the tendency to run around looking for other churches; they serve God in our church. When our new generation is walking in the presence of God, they know that evolution is a wrong theory and never doubt that God created the world. “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God” (Rom 8:39).
