Watch Out, Be Careful
There are so many different words in the world, and every word has its meaning, has some kind of image and brings with itself feelings – feelings of joy, sadness, hurt, hatred, threat – this list can be continued for a long time, but in this article, I would like to talk about words “Watch out, be careful.”
I remember from early childhood, when we began to understand words, our mom and dad taught us the meaning of words “Watch out, be careful”. We heard a change of intonation in the voices of our parents, their faces turned serious, and even the index finger of the parent appeared before our face, and our parents, using these words, said something to protect us from danger that could bring pain to the body or the loss of some thing.
In the Bible, these words are used many times and have always been used to protect the man from danger that he doesn’t see, but following this warning he can avoid much suffering and can even save his life and the lives of his loved ones.
From the Bible, we also know that there is the main enemy of our body and soul – that is Satan, who only has one goal: to steal, and kill, and destroy. From the first pages of the Bible we learn about him, that he, the snake, who is the Satan, was more crafty than any of the wild animals. He was able to trick the first inhabitants of this earth although God has warned Adam and Eve about the danger. The consequences of their inattentiveness to God’s warning were suffered not only by them, but by all humanity after them.
But then came another Adam, Jesus, and the same snake wanted to trick Him as well. Referring to the 91th psalm, Satan asked Jesus to jump off the highest point of the temple, saying: it is written: “He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” If Satan would push him off the highest point of the temple, then of course angels would save Him from injuries, but Satan offered Christ to do it Himself. Christ did not reply: Look Satan, I will prove to you that God is loyal to His promise, and would’ve jumped off the temple. He would have died not only in body, but also in the soul and together with Him all hope for salvation of humanity would be dead. But Jesus understood the danger of this action, and replied: “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” What a great example for us, whom Satan also would like to destroy. Today, the inhabitants of the entire earth are witnesses to a pandemic that covered the whole planet. This pandemic is taking lives of many people, but doctors that we often turn to for help, understanding the dangers of this pandemic offer the simple ways to save ourselves frome getting it. Being careful, we can avoid getting this virus. However, many people ignore the doctors’ advice, referring to the psalm 91 where it says: “Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.” (Psalm 91:3) Also, verse 10: “No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.” With their actions, they are putting God to test. This is like trying to cross the road without looking left and right, making sure that there is no cars coming and just saying words from Psalm 91, God promised that no harm will happen to me. I think that this is the same as if Jesus would’ve jumped off the highest point of the temple. In the evening, when we prepare to go to sleep, many of us are reading the Bible and consoling ourselves with promises of our God that nothing bad will happen to us; however, after that we check the locks of our doors, the security alarm if any, and then we go to sleep. In the same way, we should be careful and not put God to test.

Сколько в мире различных слов, и каждое слово имеет своё значение, имеет какой-то образ, и несёт с собой чувства: чувства радости, печали, обиду, ненависть, угрозу, и этот список можно долго продолжать, но в этой статье я желаю поговорить о словах «Берегись, Осторожно».
Наверное, с раннего детства, когда мы начинали понимать слова, наши мама или папа учили значение этих слов «Берегись, Осторожно». В голосе родителей мы слышали изменение интонации, лицо приобретало серьёзный вид, может даже указательный палец наших родителей появлялся перед нашим лицом, и родители, употребляя эти слова, что-то говорили, чтобы предохранить нас от какой-то опасности, которая может принести боль телу, или утерю какой-то вещи.
В Библии эти слова применяются много раз и всегда применялись с целью, сохранить человека от опасности, которую он не видит, но следуя этому предупреждению может избежать много скорбей, а может даже сохранить свою жизнь и жизни близких.
Из Библии мы также знаем, что есть самый главный враг нашей души и тела, это сатана, который имеет только одну цель: украсть, убить и погубить. С первых страниц Библии мы узнаём о нём, что он, змей, который есть сатана, был хитрее всех зверей полевых. Он смог обмануть первых жителей этой земли, хотя Бог предупреждал Адама и Еву об опасности. Последствия их невнимательности к предупреждению Бога понесли не только они, но и всё человечество после них.
Но вот пришёл другой Адам, Иисус, и этот же змей, пожелал обмануть и Его. Цитируя 90-й псалом, сатана предложил Иисусу прыгнуть с крыла храма, говоря: написано: «Ангелам Своим заповедает о Тебе, и на руках понесут Тебя, да не преткнёшься о камень ногою Твоею». И если бы сатана толкнул Иисуса с крыла храма, то конечно Ангелы спасли бы Его от повреждений, но сатана предложил Христу, чтобы Он сделал это Сам. Но как ответил Христос? Смотри сатана, Я тебе докажу, что Бог верен Своему обещанию и прыгнул бы с крыла храма. Он погиб бы не только телом, но и душой, и вместе с Ним погибла бы всякая надежда на спасение человеков. Но Иисус понимал опасность этого поступка, и Он ответил: «Не искушай Господа Бога твоего». Какой прекрасный пример для нас, которых сатана также желает истребить.
Сейчас, жители всей земли являются свидетелями эпидемии, моровой язвы, которая покрыла всю землю. Эта эпидемия уносит жизни многих людей, но врачи, к которым мы часто обращаемся за помощью, понимая опасность этой эпидемии, предлагают простые способы, как избежать заражения от этой эпидемии. Проявляя осторожность, мы можем избежать заражения от этого вируса. Но многие люди пренебрегают советами докторов, ссылаясь на 90-й псалом, где сказано: «Он избавит тебя от сети ловца, от губительной язвы. (Пс 90:3). Также стих 10 «Не приключится тебе зло и язва не приблизится к жилищу твоему». Своим поступком они искушают Господа Бога своего. Это как бы, подойдя к дороге, которую надо перейти, не глядя в лево и в право, чтобы убедится, что нет приближающейся машины и утешают себя словами из 90-го псалма: Бог пообещал, что зло не приключится мне, начнут переходить дорогу. Думаю, что это то же, если бы Иисус прыгнул с крыла храма. Вечером, когда мы готовимся ко сну, то многие из нас, читаем Библию, утешаем себя обещаниями Бога нашего, что с нами ничего не приключится, однако, после мы проверяем замки наших дверей, сигнализацию, если она есть, и после идём спать. Так и сейчас, мы должны проявлять осторожность и не искушать Бога.
